24 Feb 2015 the Department of social pedagogics and self-knowledge took place the solemn opening of the week "LD Degen aitinsa, leiten arse alderan", dedicated to the 175th anniversary from the birthday of great Abai. The event was attended by the head of the Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge Slambekova T. S., the faculty of the Department, students and guests.

This year we celebrate the 175th anniversary of the birth of Abay Kunanbayev. In honor of the anniversary of the great son of our people, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on May 30, 2019, to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the poet, thinker and educator Abay Kunanbayev.

50 students of the specialty "Preschool education and training"of L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University named after who have got grants of Nur-Sultan city works closely with kindergartens. Students are regularly invited to participate in various city events held in conjunction with employers.

On 12.02.2020, a meeting on"Basic values in the human world" was held at the school-gymnasium No. 87 Of the Nur-Sultan city Department of education, within the framework of the Week of self-Knowledge on the theme "Love and pedagogy of creativity".The meeting was attended by Arai Zhalelovna, Deputy Director for academic Affairs of the school-gymnasium No. 87 named after Abay Kunanbayuly, Kuanysh Oralkanovna, a teacher of self-knowledge, and 3-4 year students of L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian national University who study in Social pedagogy and self-knowledge department, students of grades 5-9 and subject teachers, also took part in the master's program of the Eurasian national University.
