On April 2, 2020 at 10.00 a.m. the Department of Religious Studies of L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, together with the Centre for Religious Studies of the Kazakhstan Institute of Public Development "Rukhani Zhangyru" remotely held the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Religion and Humanistic Values in the Heritage of Abai" as part of the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, enlightener, thinker Abai Kunanbayev.

On may 14, at the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian national University, the mentor of the group B. Sh. Baizhumanova held an open educational hour on the topic: "What did the Quarantine give me?" with students of the 1st year of the specialty Psychology of the Department of Social pedagogy and self-knowledge of the Social Sciences faculty.

As part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Eurasian National University, one of the first events held under the auspices of the jubilee was an international online round table on the current topic «Socio-economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kazakhstan». The round table was organized by the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Eurasian National University and the PHOENIX Club.

On May 14-15, 2020, the Department of Religious Studies held state exams in a remote format. This format of acceptance of the state exam is held for the first time and was held on the platform of Microsoft Teams.
