The works of Abay Kunanbayev are the spiritual heritage of the Kazakh people. Today, 25.02.2020 at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Mambetalina A.S., Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge together with Akhmetova A.T., the undergraduate of specialty "Psychology", conducted a training seminar using psychological cards with brief summaries of the fundamental work of the world famous Kazakh akyn and enlightener Abay Kunanbaev, “Words of edification”. This collection of cards is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay. The purpose of their creation is to use in group or individual work of a psychologist and to popularize the work of the great akyn among the youth of Kazakhstan. Each specialist can use their own techniques for working with these cards. At a training seminar, our students selected a card and, using art therapy, drew their associations that arose when reading the Word, and then presented their drawings. The teachers of the department also took an active part in this process. At the end, Slambekova T.S, the head of the department summarized the work and congratulated with the introduction of a new methodology in the work of psychologists.
