24 Feb 2015 the Department of social pedagogics and self-knowledge took place the solemn opening of the week "LD Degen aitinsa, leiten arse alderan", dedicated to the 175th anniversary from the birthday of great Abai.
The event was attended by the head of the Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge Slambekova T. S., the faculty of the Department, students and guests.
The main purpose of the event is to promote the literary heritage of the Kazakh people, to increase the interest of students in the study of classical Kazakh literature, to promote Abay's creativity, to develop the aesthetic taste and creative abilities of students, to cultivate a love for poetry and the spiritual heritage of the great poet.
The event was opened by the head of the Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge slambekova T. S., as well as a welcome speech at the opening ceremony of the week was made by doctor of pedagogical Sciences, Professor Shalgynbayeva G. K., doctor of pedagogical Sciences, Professor Toleubekova R. K., Director of The research Institute "Abay Academy" of ENU.L. N. Gumilev Sailaway E. E. and a specialist in the Department of cultural studies and literary research Kurmangaliev I. R.
At the end of the event, first-year students of the specialty " cultural Studies "zhaskairatova Zarina performed Abay's song "Kozimnin karasy".
