Today, January 18, at the Department of sociology of the L.N.Gumilev Eurasian national University started the first stage of online training of trainers (ToT) in the framework of a joint project with UNICEF and the Ministry of labour and social protection of population «Strengthening national curricula for the training and further training of social work specialists in the main competences of interaction and cooperation with the community with the aim of changing social norms of behaviour». The project is implemented in partnership with the Columbia University School of Social Work, the Center for Global Health Research in Central Asia (USA, New York), and the National Alliance of Professional Social Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On January 11, 2021 at the Faculty of Social Sciences the presentation of the new head of the Department of Religious Studies, attended by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University Ongarbaev E.A., Director of the Department of Academic Affairs Kashynbay B.B., Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Somzhurek B.J., heads of departments and teaching staff of the Department.
