December 21, 2017 within the framework of the cooperation between the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge and the Center for the Development of Giftedness and Psychological Support "Astana Daryn" of the Astana City Akimat, a scientific and practical seminar "Circular interview in the work of a school psychologist" was held on the basis of the psychological laboratory of the department. The seminar was led by PhD Jexembayeva G.S. 12 school psychologists from Astana took part in the seminar.

On the December 13, 2017 teachers of the Faculty of Social Sciences, including Senior Lecturer Balkiya Mubarakqizy; Bagila Lesovna Tairova, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences; Acting Associate Professor Temirov Kuanysh Umirzakovich, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences; Senior Lecturer Aizhan K. Uasheva, Ph.D.; Senior Lecturer Zhanar M. Makimbayeva, Master of Arts in Social Sciences; Akbota Mustafakulovna Ramanzharova, Master of Arts in Social Sciences took an active part in the "Innovations in development of higher education. Modern methods and technologies of training" seminar.

On the 22nd of December, 2017, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, acting docent of the Department of Social Pedagogy of Self-Knowledge Temirov Kuanysh Umirzakovich held an open lecture for students of the specialty 5B011800 - 'Russian Language and Literature', 5В011901 - 'Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages' (English), 5В011902 - 'Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages' (German) on 'Pedagogical interaction' in the discipline: 'Theory and methodology of educational work'.

In honor of the professional holiday a festive event "Psychokapustnik 2017" was organized by graduate and undergraduate students of the majority "Psychology".
