On December 25, 1879, Wilhelm Wundt opened the first experimental laboratory which marked the birth of a new psychological science. In honor of the professional holiday a festive event "Psychokapustnik 2017" was organized by graduate and undergraduate students of the majority "Psychology". At the beginning of the holiday the head of the social pedagogy and self-knowledge department Shalgimbayeva K.K. congratulated colleagues, undergraduates and graduates, noting the relevance of a psychologist in the modern world and Kazakhstan sending wishes success to everyone in professional work.
Graduate and undergraduate students of all courses congratulated teachers and their classmates, prepared creative performances (flashmob, songs, poems, humorous sketches, humorous competitions). Freshmen were dedicated to psychologists by the "Oath of the Student Psychologist". The culmination of the meeting was the awarding of the department head Shalgimbayeva K.K. to students by memorable letters.
