10 оctober 2018 in Astana in KSI "Medico-social institution for the elderly and disabled" of the Astana akimat, 2 st year students of the specialty "Social pedagogy and self-cognition" of the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyov under the guidance of the curator and adviser, Ph.D. Botabayeva Ademi Erkebaevna and undergraduate Altynbekova Maigul organized a charity concert.

In Astana, the spartakiada “Zhuldyzai” was held for “special” children. In this republican spartakiada, 411 participants came to the capital from all cities of Kazakhstan.

On September 26-28, 2018 a business meeting of the professor of the department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge of the ENU named after L. N. Gumilyov G.K. Dlimbetova with well-known experts and scientists in the field of environmental education of Moscow State University named after M.N. Lomonosov, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR), Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Service (RANE&PS), Moscow State Pedagogical University (MSPU), V.I. Vernadski Foundation and others was held.

In October 4, 2018 Gulbakhyt Menlibekova, the doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor of the department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge (the head of the scientific project “Development of the methodology of androgogical education in the context of the third modernization of Kazakhstan”) participated in the International Forum Programme Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities “Issuess of Continuous Teaching Education: Traditions and Innovations”.

The Department of physical education and sport is actively working to promote a healthy lifestyle among students of the Eurasian National University. As a part of this work, on the first of October of 2018 they held a relay race, dedicated to the birthday of L. N. Gumilyov.
