Scientific projects of the Department
An important characteristic of the department is research work.
The organization of research work on "Pedagogy" Department is carried out in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education", the Concept of the Development of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2015, the Standard Rules for the Activity of Higher and Post-Graduate Education Organizations № 499, May 17, 2013.
The scientific activity of the "Pedagogy" Department is aimed at the solution of the following tasks:
- Conducting fundamental, applied research and innovation activities;
- Research and development of theoretical and methodological foundations for the development of higher education, theory and practice of social pedagogy;
- Introduction of scientific research results into practical activities of schools, government agencies, social institutions;
- Development and implementation of own technologies and methods of future specialists professional training using modern educational technologies;
- Expanding financial base of innovative research activities by attracting grant budget funds, contractual and international projects.
The research work of the faculty is focused on high-quality research. This is expressed in the use of advanced ideas of psycho-pedagogical science in the educational process, in the publications of the department's faculty in leading scientific journals, in the cooperation of the department with domestic and foreign educational centers, and in the participation of teachers in international conferences and forums.
The department completed the implementation of two research projects (fundamental) on the topics: "Scientific and methodological foundations for the use of innovative technologies in the training of specialists with orphans", "Academic support of students in terms of credit technology training on the basis of foreign experience (USA, England)".
In order to activate research activities, the Department of Pedagogy conducts international conferences and forums. So, in 2017, the Department of Pedagogy, together with the Eurasian Institute of Practical Psychology, held the First Eurasian Congress of Psychologists and Specialists of Assisting Professions "Status and Trends in the Development of Psychotherapy, Practical and Consultative Psychology in Kazakhstan and the Commonwealth of Independent States and Far Abroad" (November 23, 2017); on the social and pedagogical direction, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Technique of Innovative Technologies in Pedagogical Activity with Orphaned Children" (28 April-2017)
Leading professors of the department have experience in training doctors, сandidate of science and Ph.D. The teaching staff on the basis of active use of scientific activity results in the educational process successfully carry out the management of master's dissertations and theses. Teachers of the department also ensure the unity of educational and scientific processes by attracting doctoral students, undergraduates and students to participate in research work.
Training in doctoral studies is focused on the training of scientific personnel capable of independent research activities. Doctoral educational program 6D010300 - "Pedagogy and Psychology" is aimed at training scientific personnel in the psychological and pedagogical direction. The main task of doctoral studies is to prepare professionals for a successful scientific career in international and Kazakhstani educational organizations, as well as for analytical and consulting activities. The scientific management of doctoral Ph.D is carried out by leading scientists, doctors of pedagogical sciences Moldazhanova A.A., Shalgynbayeva K.K., Menlibekova G.Zh., Seitkazy P.B., Toleubekova R.K., Kalkeyeva K.R., Dlimbetova G.K., Abibulaeva A.B.
Priority directions of the scientific work of the department "Pedagogy" is the organization of scientific research on the issues of psychological and pedagogical support of inclusive education, competence approach in education, ethical and deontological training of future specialists, application of modern educational technologies in higher education, organization of pedagogical and socio-pedagogical Work in conditions of modernization of public consciousness.
On the problems of scientific research, scientific articles are published in collections of materials of international scientific and practical conferences, as well as in domestic journals recommended by CCSON of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the results of the scientific work of the department for the calendar year (2017), the PPS published 5 scientific monographs, more than 160 scientific articles, including in the rating Kazakh journals-59, in collections of conferences abroad-36 publications.
Scientific contacts of the teachers of the department with well-known leading foreign specialists in the field of pedagogy and psychology, social pedagogy contribute to the integration of Kazakhstani universities into the world educational process and imply the expansion of access to foreign education.
