Research activity of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports
The department has created all conditions for the scientific activity of the teaching staff, students and undergraduates. Research work is systematically carried out within the framework of priority scientific and scientific-technical programs and projects.
The results of the scientific activity of the department are realized in the publication of scientific articles that are published in peer-reviewed foreign journals, as well as in journals recommended by the KKSON of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Department of Physical Culture and Sports annually conducts scientific and methodological seminars in various scientific fields.
Since 2017, the educational laboratory "Human health and ways of its preservation" has been functioning on the basis of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports. For the full functioning of the laboratory, sporting goods, medical and anatomical equipment, models, computer equipment were purchased, which is used in scientific and practical research, as well as in the daily activities of the teaching staff during theoretical and laboratory classes of bachelor's and master's degrees.
During the reporting period, the university concluded more than six memoranda between L.N. Gumilyov ENU and foreign universities within the framework of which the Department of Physical Culture and Sports operates: Kyrgyz State University FKiS (2016), Academy of Sports named after Levski (Bulgaria 2016), Belgorod State University (2016), George Washington University - Central Asian Studies Program (2017), Gotse Dolchev Shpit University (Bulgaria 2017), Tajik National University (Dushanbe 2017), Yildirim Beyazit University (Ankara 2017). The department also cooperates with Kazakhstani universities and the scientific and practical center for the joint holding of conferences, seminars and round tables.
The research group of the department under the leadership of the head of the department, D.G.Toktarbayev, together with the Public Association "Society of Parents of Children with Disabilities "WORLD of EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES", on the basis of contract No. 1 dated December 14, 2018 for the performance of research works, implemented the social project "Salamatty Bolashak". The aim of the project is to form an integrated and innovative approach to the development and promotion of adaptive physical culture and sports among children and youth with special educational needs (OOP).

- "Physical culture and sports program for swimming for children with visual impairment";
- "Physical culture and sports program for swimming for children with musculoskeletal disorders";
- "Inclusive adaptive karate program for children with OOP and children without developmental disabilities";
- "Inclusive program on adaptive-corrective dance gymnastics (choreography) for children with OOP and children without developmental disabilities",
1 program for parents (self-control diary).
