The psychological laboratory is also a training platform for students in the framework of master classes of leading teachers of the Department and practical psychologists. The purpose of these meetings is to develop students ' motivation through acquaintance with successful professionals, to reveal the inner potential of students, to determine their professional trajectory, and to develop skills for successful interaction of students in society. Invited speakers of these meetings are: practicing psychologists of Nur-Sultan, school psychologists, military psychologists, managers and specialists of state and non-state organizations providing psychological assistance, etc. The psychological laboratory of the
Department of psychology was established in December 2017.
The activity of the laboratory is aimed at scientific and methodological support of the educational process of students, undergraduates of the specialty «Psychology».
Main task:
- improvement of methodological equipment and material and technical base for conducting laboratory classes for students in the specialty «Psychology»;
- involvement of students and undergraduates of the specialty «Psychology» in the implementation of research projects in order to improve their professional skills, acquire skills in planning and conducting scientific research;
- providing methodological and Advisory assistance to students in research and DEVELOPMENT centers;
- creation of a database of modern psychodiagnostic techniques, including modern computer systems for psychological diagnostics; methods adapted for the Kazakh sample; and test tools developed by members of the laboratory;
- conducting scientific research of laboratory members, including joint events with partners of the Department.
The psychological laboratory is equipped with the following programs:
1) program of psychological tests and techniques «Psychometric Expert»;
2) the statistical software package «SPSS».
The laboratory conducts laboratory classes in the disciplines «Statistical methods in psychology», «Workshop on experimental psychology and psychodiagnostics», «Computer psychodiagnostics and data processing», as well as psychological trainings.
The fund of the scientific library - more than 1.6 million units of storage of domestic and foreign publications in various industries to help the educational and research process of the university.
