Material and technical resources

Successful activities of the ENU facilitated by the material and technical base. The University has all the necessary educational and material assets to realize the goals and tasks facing it. Buildings and structures of ENU correspond to the current sanitary standards and fire safety requirements. Areas owned by the ENU - auditorium and laboratory facilities, classrooms, workshops and other premises, sports facilities comply with established norms and rules. There are six student dormitories in which about 4,500 students live, as well as one service house for the PTС. In the territory of the University, there is a medical center.

ENU has a broadband connection to the Internet via a fiber-optic line. Access to the network provided from 80% of computers involved in the educational process and about 70% of computers used in the administration of educational activities. In addition, everyone in student homes has a connection to the Internet in each room and the students’ house №6 has wireless network Wi-Fi. In all educational buildings, a wireless Wi-Fi network deployed.

Each student house has the necessary conditions for living, the Student Council also works, which organizes various cultural, sporting events and competitions. For students with disabilities there are elevators, a ramp.

The material and technical base of the University provides the educational process, living conditions, supports the necessary condition of the territory and buildings, and provides communication. There is a service of labor protection and safety engineering, emergency department. Public service and safety of the material base is provided by the security service of the University. Services and departments of the administrative and economic part of the University carry out technical operation, repair of buildings, ensure compliance with mandatory rules and safety standards. All devices in the enclosures inspected for grounding and measuring insulation resistance of electrical wires and cables.

ENU has all the necessary resources, scientific, technical, and experimental base for training personnel in the areas of undergraduate and graduate programs. The structure, composition and number of technical resources and laboratories are determined by the requirements of educational programs being implemented, other statutory activities. Educational, scientific and specialized laboratories are equipped with computer equipment, equipment, necessary didactic materials, technical and audiovisual training and visual aids.

The University has 45 computer classes and 4 scientific computer labs, equipped with 1800 units of computer equipment.

When implementing the sociology studies, the availability of a material and technical base and information resources is one of the main factors of professional training of specialists. The management of the department, the teaching staff of the department, the servicing personnel conduct systematic work on the analysis of the needs of educational programs in material and technical resources and information resources.

Training of students in the field of OP of Sociology carried out at the Sociology Studies, located in the building of ENU. The useful training area corresponds to the current sanitary standards, qualification requirements for the activity of educational organizations. Classes held in the classrooms according to the schedule, as well as in the classrooms assigned to the Sociology department and the Social Sciences faculty.

Scientific Library of Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev is an important structural subdivision in the scientific and educational environment of the University.

The general fund of the library as of the 2017-2018 academic year is 1 665091 copies, including 460313 copies in the Kazakh language. (27.6% of the total fund).

Total book availability in relation to the reduced contingent of students for a full cycle of training is 140 units per student.
