On November 29, 2023 in Astana the final of competition Qazdatathon organized by Bureau of national statistics of Agency on strategic planning and reforms of Republic of Kazakhstan together with Corporate fund El Umiti took place.
Students of ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov of the 3rd and 4th year on specialty "Sociology" took part in the competition. The purpose of the competition was to develop and promote the culture of management and decision-making based on data in Kazakhstan, search for new approaches to solve socio-economic and methodological problems based on data. Twelve teams from universities and various organizations reached the finals.
According to the results of competition ІІІІ place was awarded to the team of L.N. Gumilyov ENU University. The team from L.N.Gumilyov ENU presented a project on the topic "The problem of water availability and its impact on the economy of Kazakhstan", where they proposed ways to improve the existing water management system. Students from KBTU for the project on satisfaction factors became the winners of the ІІ place. І place was won by a team from KPMG with a project on "Barometer of financial stability of households".
At the end of the event all participants were awarded with letters of thanks, the winners of the prizes were given cash prizes and grants for studying at Kazakhstan Sociology Lab.
