A 2nd year student of the specialty "Psychology" Ermekova Amina completed her studies under the academic mobility program in Lithuania

The girls decided to share their impressions about studying abroad.

Having passed the competitive selection from the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan in the exchange program, I got the opportunity to study at one of the best universities in Lithuania, located in the capital city Vilnius, at the Mykolos Romeris University.  This university is among the top 10 universities in Lithuania.  Mykolas Romeris University regularly occupies high positions, entering the top 5% in academic rankings around the world.

For me it was a very valuable experience in expanding my knowledge in the field of psychology.  The education system in Lithuania is different from Kazakhstan.

Students study according to the credit system and have the right to choose the disciplines that interesting for them.  All selected courses were conducted in English.  I would also like to note the high level of knowledge of English among the teaching staff.  I also liked the way the university pays attention to practical exercises both in the classroom and in the form of independent work of students.  I believe that this method of teaching is the most effective, since the process of assimilation of theoretical knowledge gained during lectures is faster.

In addition, a huge number of students from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Japan, Georgia, etc. studied at the university.  This cultural exchange undoubtedly helped me expand my worldview, I learned a lot of new and interesting things from representatives of other nations.

The period of study under the academic mobility program has become an indispensable experience for me, because it was not only the experience of studying in a foreign country, but also the life experience of staying in another state, adapting to a different culture, communicating with various interesting people.  I am very glad that with my efforts, with the help from the university and the state, I managed to get the experience of studying abroad.
