On April 22, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Society and Pedagogical Education" was held, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Department of Pedagogy, which laid the foundation for the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The moderator of the plenary session of the conference was the head of the department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor M.P. Asylbekovа, on behalf of the university administration made a congratulatory speech the director of the Department of Academic Affairs B.B. Kashkynbay.
The Chief Expert of the Committee for Preschool and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.B.Suleimenov, Director of the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of Gazi University Yuсel Gelişli (Ankara, Turkey), Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences B.B. Somzhurek also made a congratulatory speech. The conference also included a video about the history of the department and the presentation of the book "Department of Pedagogy: History and Traditions".
The conference was attended by speakers from a number of foreign partners; Boronilova I.G., Director of the Institute of Pedagogy, Head of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology, M. Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University (Ufa, Russia); From the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor D.S. Ermakov (Moscow, Russia); Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Aleuov Userbay (Karakalpakstan) from the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute and academisions from domestic universities of the country.
The conference worked in three sections. Section 1 "Megatrends in education and their impact on the development of professional competencies of a teacher". Section 2 "Kazakh pedagogy as the basis for the training of the future teacher." Section 3 "Cooperation of pedagogical activity as a resource for the development of a single educational space." In total, the collection of the conference received 176 articles in Kazakh, Russian and English. As a result of the conference, the following resolutions were adopted: Intensification of mutual exchange of experience of teachers on academic mobility; Joint implementation of research projects with colleagues in the universities of the Russian Federation.
