On October 30, students in the 3rd year of the Faculty of Social Sciences, specialty "Sociology" visited in the format of a guest lecture on the discipline of "Power and Society" Kazakhstani department of the Turkish TV and radio company "TRT".
TRT is the national state media agency of Turkey, responsible for broadcasting radio and television in the country, and was founded in 1964. It broadcasts both in Turkey and abroad. The Corporation broadcasts in different languages including Turkish, English, and others, and offers a variety of programs including news, documentaries, entertainment, sports, and other television and radio programs.
The lecture was an open conversation between the students, teacher Nurfer Tercan, and the head of TRT Kazakhstan office, Mr. Mehmed Zahid Çalışkan. The students asked questions and received answers directly from the head of the Kazakhstan office of the TV and radio company. Also, after that, a tour around the office of the TV company was organized for them. Thanks to this format of receiving information, the students were satisfied with the meeting and received the necessary knowledge and practical skills, which they will be able to apply not only during the course but also in their professional activities.
