As we know, 2020 at the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev was declared as the Year of the Volunteer, which significantly influenced the growth of the volunteer movement in our country. In this regard, the Ecological Volunteering Club of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU is actively working on the development of the youth environmental movement of the university.
On September 16, the eco-club organized an event in honor of the entry of first-year students into the ranks of university eco-volunteers. It should be noted that the total number of participants in the event was more than 100 people from different faculties of the university.
The heads of the departments of pedagogy and psychology, Marziya Pazylovna and Aliya Saktaganovna Mambetalina, made a welcoming speech, where they noted the importance of observing the civic position of young people and developing environmental volunteering due to the existential crisis of environmental disaster.
The founders of the "Green Audience" Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy Dlimbetova Gaini Karekeyevna and Doctor of PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Psychology Abenova Saulet Urazbekovna made a motivational speech to future volunteers, where they emphasized the motives and advantages of engaging in environmental activities on a gratuitous basis.
Also, the leaders of the eco-club, Dina Akimish and Daria Tabaran, presented the goals and objectives, and familiarized the participants of the meeting with the plan for the implementation of activities for the 2022-2023 academic year.
In addition, eco-volunteers took part in game "kahoot" with real cases, in which the most attentive, quick and smart students were identified.
