We, culturologists of the 1st year, together with the teacher U. Sandybayeva, visited the exhibition «Thought Forms», where we met the author of the paintings Gulmaral Tatibaeva. An excursion was held in the format of a dialogue. G. Tatibaeva talked about her creative path, about her ideas, which she embodied in paintings and installations, we shared our thoughts and impressions.
We, as culturologists, were struck by the large installation «Uly Kamzol» in the form of a saukele, assembled from camisoles and robes. It makes you think about cultural and historical memory, identity, tradition, about the role of women in preserving the hearth. We had the opportunity to write our wishes on the white fabric near the installation.
We, as eco-volunteers, were also interested in works referring to environmental problems. We saw many works by the artist, made in different techniques, but most importantly, they make you think about tradition and modernity.
G. Tatibaeva also gave us advice: «The skill of «observation» is very important in your profession, look, study and analyze». We are glad that we have the opportunity to visit exhibitions, talk with artists, and conduct field research as part of the course.
