Continuation of the Plenum of the Scientific Council on the topic "Formation of ecological culture in the conditions of modern realities"

On March 19, 2021, on the basis of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO), the continuation of the jubilee plenum of the Scientific Council on the problems of environmental education took place. The plenum of the Scientific Council, dedicated to its 50th anniversary, was held on the topic "Formation of ecological culture in the conditions of modern realities: problems and prospects".

Well-known authoritative scientists in the field of environmental education in Russia (Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, RUDN University, Ural Federal University, etc.) acted as key speakers of the plenary session of the Scientific Council.

From ENU  a member of the Basic Organization for Environmental Education of the CIS Member States, Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge Dlimbetova G.K. PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Psychology S.U. Abenova, PhD candidate A. Sandibekova, Master student of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge D. Akimish acted as key speakers of the plenary session of the Scientific Council.

 

The main issues considered by the members of the RAO Scientific Council were the problems and prospects for the formation of environmental culture, collective understanding of environmental education, the environmental context of education for sustainable development, management of the continuous formation of eco-culture, environmental education in the context of new ethical challenges. Also, special attention is paid to solving the problems of environmental education through the school, family and teachers.

 

The plenum additionally provided an opportunity for young and future scientists of the department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge to get acquainted with the innovative content of environmental and pedagogical education and outline further prospects in addressing the management of environmental education in their scientific research.
