On February 15, 2023, the senior lecturer of the department "Psychology" - Ganiyeva G.Kh. an on-site lesson was held at the State Institution "Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan" together with the head (psychologist) of the department for providing psychological assistance Zhakubekova D.B. in the discipline "Psychological assistance to children and adolescents in extreme situations" for students in the educational program "7M03110 - Crisis Psychology".
Zhakubekova D.B. acquainted undergraduates with the ongoing psychodiagnostic methods, the features of the work of providing emergency assistance, the contents of the “alarming suitcase” of the psychologist of the Ministry of Emergencies. Along with this, undergraduates visited the relaxation room. The specifics of the work of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is that there is a risk of burnout, and since the psychologist needs to be in a resourceful state, trainings, psychoprophylaxis, etc. are conducted in the department on an ongoing basis.
On the basis of a bilateral agreement, students of the Department of Psychology of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University have the opportunity to undergo professional production, undergraduate and research practice in this institution. Thus, the department makes every effort to the practical orientation of training and the adaptation of the graduate to the future professional activity of a crisis psychologist.
