The 2nd International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Environmental Education and Sustainable Development. Status, goals, problems, and prospects " was held on the basis of the Sakharov International State Ecological Institute of the Belarusian State University.
The key speakers of the conference were well-known scientists in the field of environmental education in the person of the Director of the Sakharov Moscow State University, S. A. Maskevich, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the RAO A. N. Zakhlebny, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Institute of Educational Development Strategy of the RAO E. N. Dzyatkovskaya, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus A.V. Kadlubai and others.
Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge G. K. Dlimbetova made a welcoming speech on behalf of ENU on the topic " Eurasian National University in close cooperation with educational organizations of the CIS: contribution to the development of the "green university". The speaker noted that our university, having taken the course of the strategy towards the implementation of the green university, is actively developing cooperation in the field of environmental education and sustainable development with foreign organizations.
At the international conference, undergraduates and doctoral students of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge presented innovative pedagogical ideas as part of their dissertation research. So, PhD student Taibuldinova S. A. shared her scientific and pedagogical idea on the topic "Environmental education of schoolchildren in a single educational space "School-Family". In turn, this report aroused great interest among the international participants of the conference. The report on the topic: "Pedagogical management in order to optimize environmental education at the university" was presented by PhD student A. K. Sandibekova. In this speech, the role of the strategic direction of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Department of Social Pedagogy in the development of ENU as a green university was noted. Another report was presented by undergraduates Ibraeva A. and Akimish D. on the topic: "Art therapy as an effective means of forming social adaptability of young people", where the emphasis was placed on the development of eco-volunteer activities of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Scientists were very interested in the proposed idea of psychological, pedagogical and cultural approaches to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, the creation of an interactive environment for environmental education were proposed by senior lecturer of psychology, PhD Abenova S.
The Sakharov International State Ecological Institute of the Belarusian State University is a partner of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU and has an Agreement on international cooperation in the development of environmental education and pedagogy.
