EXPERIENCE OF ECOLOGIZATION OF EDUCATION AT L.N. GUMILYOV ENU - ON THE PLATFORM FOR DISCUSSION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRIES OF THE CASPIAN REGION

On July 10, 2020, an International scientific and practical online conference "Sustainable development of the Caspian region countries in a changing world" was held, organized by the working group on interethnic, interfaith relations, prevention of extremism and terrorism of the Expert Council for the development of civil education and socialization of students of the Committee on science and education of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The key speakers of the meeting were well-known scientists and political figures, including the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on education and science of the State Duma of the Russian Federation M.S. Zaitseva (Moscow), Director of the Institute for political research of the Academy of public administration under the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan E.H. Nasirov (Baku), Vice-rector of the "Kalmyk State University named after B.B. Gorodovikov" V.O. Imeeva (Elista), professor of the RANEPA, expert of UNESCO N.M. Mammedov (Moscow), head of the Center for international and political studies, "Caspian-Eurasia" K. Tyurenkova (Astrakhan), assistant to the Director of the company "Eco-Express-Service" A.V. Nazarova (Saint-Petersburg), Deputy head of the Department of Contemporary history and international studies of the Institute of history, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan R.R. Nazarov (Tashkent), associate Professor of Central Asian countries and Caucasus of the Institute of countries of Asia and Africa of Lomonosov Moscow State University N.T. Nurulla-Khodjaeva (Moscow), head of the Working group on interethnic, interfaith relations and prevention of extremism K. Kh. Kalandarov, (Moscow), head of educational programs of the Vernadsky Foundation T.V. Avgusmanova (Moscow).

The conference discussed global environmental processes in the Caspian region: educational initiatives to support interethnic and interfaith relations, modern environmental education, the basis for the transition to sustainable development, the role of the media in preserving interethnic harmony, the potential of Kazakhstan's spiritual and cultural heritage in shaping global citizenship of the younger generation, ethnic and cultural interaction of peoples in the context of globalization, prospects for dialogue on the value of preserving natural heritage and national culture.

On behalf of our University, a report on the topic "Environmental education in higher education institutions of Kazakhstan on the example of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University" was presented Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge G.K. Dlimbetova. She shared the results of the research group of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU, implemented in the curricula of various specialties. In conclusion, the teacher-ecologist noted that in the Caspian region, under the dominant position of environmental standards, it is necessary to train a new generation of specialists who will radically differ in their innovations and new views, focusing on the sustainable development of their country.
