Философия кафедрасының ғылыми семинары

On April 06 of this year, a seminar "Modern French Philosophy: Jean-Luc Nancy Community Theory" was held at the Department of Philosophy as part of the Decade of Science. The speaker was the candidate of Philosophical Sciences, associate professor Dametken Tolgambayeva.

Jean-Luc Nancy (1940-2021) was a professor of philosophy at the University of Humanities of Strasbourg (France), a visiting professor at the University of California at Berkeley (USA). He headed the educational and research center "Philosophy, Language Sciences and Communication". He was a member of the leadership of a number of research institutions, was a co-founder of the book series "La philosophie en effet" - one of the leading series of books on philosophy in France. He was awarded the prize of the Italian Nietzsche Society (1990) for his significant contribution to modern philosophy. Nancy's works have been translated into many languages of the world.

The analysis of the community theory was based on a number of works by J.-L. Nancy, among which a special place is occupied by "Unproductive Community" (1986) and "Being Singular plural" (1996). The speaker drew the audience's attention to the historical context of writing works; showed the connection of the Nancy community theory with the philosophy of being together, being together (co-being).

            D. Tolgambayeva noted that Nancy is not limited to the political sphere: "[...] there are different ways of being together: for example, in the theater, where there is an intense sense of participation in the power and beauty of the performance ... Wild detectives... (and literature is also a practice)".

The speaker drew attention to the idea of J.-L. Nancy, that today's event is "immediately philosophical." Social ontology is of great interest today.

There was a discussion of the report, questions were asked. Teachers and students of the department, as well as teachers of other universities took part.
