The head of the research work of students of the Department of Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Baysarina Sandugash Sailauovna, on April 4 of this year, within the framework of the Decade of Science of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, organized a round table on the topic «Bullying and cyberbullying among adolescents: prevention and protection measures».
During the round table, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Kadisha Kadyrovna Shalgynbayeva within the framework of the program of targeted financing of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan BR18574152 «Research of topical aspects and development of measures to prevent bullying against children» based on the results of research works, as an executor of the above program – a leading researcher, shared the results of content analysis of research in the field of pedagogy, psychology, law, jurisprudence and sociology on the Kazakhstan scientific portal for the period 1995-2022, making a theoretical description of the meaning and content of the concept of «bullying».
She dwelt very meaningfully on the psychological image of the bullying participants - the aggressor, the victim and the witness and gave recommendations on bullying prevention measures. The professor answered in detail the questions of the students present at the round table regarding bullying, based on scientific results and special data.
The work of the round table was continued by the 3rd-year PhD student of the specialty «8D01103-Pedagogy and Psychology» Suleimenova Zhansaya Toktarovna, who touched upon one of the topical issues in the process of digitalization – «cyberbullying».
The report and presentation of the doctoral student reflected the analysis of laws, forms of cyberbullying, psychological causes and consequences aimed at protecting adolescents from the consequences of malicious information.
She dwelt in more detail on the procedure for the prevention of cyberbullying and the main obligations of educational, health, and social protection organizations in case of establishing the fact of cyberbullying.
Tips were given to protect against rudeness and insults on the Internet and to prevent cyberbullying in the digital space.
In the future, the Department of Pedagogy will continue research work within the framework of the program «Research of topical aspects and development of measures to prevent bullying against children».
