What should a maslikhat deputy be like?

At the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting was held with a well-known public and government figure, chairman of the Republican public association “Union of Deputies of Maslikhats of Kazakhstan”, ex-senator Toleubek Mukashev and doctoral student of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University, culturologist, political strategist Abylaykhan Kalnazarov. The topic of the meeting was devoted to the presentation of the book by these authors “What should a maslikhat deputy be like?”

The book is a political treatise written with the aim of helping maslikhats of all levels in resolving current problems and negative phenomena of public life. Having studied the theoretical and social layers of local self-government, the authors comprehensively covered the activities of this elected body of the administrative-territorial division of our state.

The meeting was attended by the rector of the Academy Erlan Kuanyshuly Abil, teaching staff, undergraduates and doctoral students.

During the event, listeners received detailed and thorough answers to the main question: “What should be the political and social portrait of a maslikhat deputy?”

Following the meeting, the authors donated their book to the Academy’s library.

It should be noted that the first presentation of this book took place at a meeting of the Central Council of the “Union of Deputies of the Maslikhat of Kazakhstan” in the Dostyk House. The meeting was attended by deputies of the Senate and Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairmen of 20 regional maslikhats, members of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and heads of central government bodies, representatives of the media and civil society institutions.
