Department of Religious Studies at the VII Congress of World and Traditional Religions

From 14 to 15 September 2022, teachers and students of the Department of Religious Studies took part in the VII Congress of World and Traditional Religions. This event is held every three years and gathers a large number of participants from different parts of the world. The idea of the Congress was initiated by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev.

An important event of the Congress is the personal participation of leading religious figures, especially Pope Francis. The Congress itself took place in a framework of constructive discussion and friendly attitude. There were lively discussions, debates and exchanges throughout the event.

Teachers and students of the department performed highly at the event. Special mention should be made of the students who volunteered for the event, including Tohzhan Kalymova, Nauryz Gainizhamal, Serikbay Moldir, Sholan Alibek, Myrzamurat Aruzhan, Shaizada Akerke and many others.

In general, events of this kind are a great platform for the exchange of opinions and ideas.
