Within the framework of the project «Memory Infrastructure: Revitalization of Cultural Landscapes of Kazakhstan» (AP14870269), K. Medeuova and U. Sandybayeva visited places of former industrial sites in Moscow that were transformed into centers of cultural industries to conduct a comparative analysis.
The State Museum of the History of the Gulag has also become an important object of the visit. In addition, the researchers visited the Museum of the History of the city of Obninsk, which was the first science city in Russia. The first nuclear power plant was built in this town, which became a museum.
