The XII Republican subject Olympiad in Philosophy was organized by the al-Farabi Kazakh national University and was held on April 17 in a remote format, due to the current epidemiological situation and the recommendations of the MES of Kazakhstan.
The team of L. N. Gumilyov ENU was represented by 1st-year students Marat Aliyev, Ruslan Sarsenov and 2nd-year student Ayana Abayeva under the name "Third Teachers" and took 3rd place. The team's motto: "the Word spoken by the knower, let the seeker meet".
Contest theme: "Al-Farabi and Abai great thinkers of the great steppe" was dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of al-Farabi and the 175th anniversary of Abai. In the 1st round, the team presented a presentation where the ideas of al-Farabi and Abay were intertwined with the vision of each team member. And in the second round, they made a video "Dialogue with thinkers", justifying this by the fact that everyone asks questions and the answer to them can be obtained by reading al-Farabi and Abay. The members of the Commission noted the logical connection in the presentation, the interests of each student, and highly appreciated the creative approach in performing the video task.
