The UNICEF Children's Fund (UN) Representative Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting for its partners. Welcoming remarks were made by the Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.N. Imangaliev, representative department of Multilateral Cooperation MFA RK Gazizulina Zh.K. and Arthur van Diesen Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Kazakhstan. They noted the importance of the meeting and the role of UNICEF in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the partners were divided into three areas: healthcare, education and skills, and child protection. In groups, the meeting participants presented their results of work for 2020 and shared long-term plans for 2021.
Associate professors of the Department of Sociology, PhD N.O. Baigabylov and PhD Yessimova D.G., took part in this meeting on behalf of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, Faculty of Social Sciences. Our colleagues presented the results of a joint project with UNICEF, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population «Strengthening national curricula for the training and further training of social work specialists in the main competences of interaction and cooperation with the community with the aim of changing social norms of behaviour».
