Excursion to the Museum of Saduakas Gilmani

November 14, students 1 and 2 courses of specialty "Cultural studies" under the guidance of a teacher Dametken  Turlybaevna Tolgambaeva in the discipline "Actual practices of memory" visited the Museum Saduakas Gilani.

The Museum is located on the territory of Saduakas kazhy Gylmani mosque. In the Museum we saw various exhibits: a Desk, a headdress, a hat and other personal belongings of S. Gilmani. Met with books, translation published by S. Gilman. The tour was conducted by responsible for the Museum, master of religious studies, theologian, historian Bahytjan Soltani.

Saduakas Suleimenuly Gilman born in 1890 in the village of maltabar, near Ereimentau in Akmola region. As a child, he studied under Mullah Bayduysen, for his knowledge of the Koran from the age of 14 he was called "Bala Molda". The Museum houses books on Islam, including: "Tafsir ahida", "Tafsir haftiyak", "Tafsir Fiqh" and others published in the late XIX-early XX centuries .

There is an exposition with photos and description of biographies, activities of the first Kazis of Kazakhstan under the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan: Abd-al Gaffa Shamsutdinova, Zhakiya Kaji Beysenbayuly and Saduakas Kaji Gilmani.

As for the family Saduakasa Kaji Gilmani, the son Hamat did not return from the great Patriotic war, went missing, the Museum has a portrait of him. I still have the pictures of the daughter of Ukiran and her husband Galymzhan Karimov.

After visiting the Museum Bahytjan Soltani gave each of us a book, "Maulit". This book is known to all, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in this month. The book was translated from Arabic into Kazakh by Saduakas kazhi Gilmani on December 6, 1949. The Foreword written by his daughter Ukiran.

This Museum is an authentic place of remembrance. The Museum building is located on the site of the mosque, where from 1946 to 1952 Saduakas qaji Gilmani was Imam.

Through acquaintance with the personality, activity of Saduakas kazhi, we expanded our knowledge about the history of Islamic culture in the Kazakh steppe.

          All students, undergraduates, doctoral candidates are recommended to visit the mosque of Saduakas tell Gilani.
