Malgaraeva Z. B., associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies and a 2d-year doctoral student Ukenov A. S. participated in the V Congress of Russian researches of religion

From 18 to 20 November 2021 Malgaraeva Z. B., associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies and a 2d-year doctoral student Ukenov A. S. participated in the V Congress of Russian researches of religion "RELIGION AND ATheism in the XXI century" in St. Petersburg. The Congress took place on the basis of the State Museum of the History of Religion. 

The Congress was attended by scholars and young researchers from the CIS countries and Eastern Europe. The Congress comprised 19 panels which covered various aspects of research in the field of religion, including 'Religious Images in Art', 'Post-Secularism and Atheism: Crisis of Faith or Modernisation', 'Ethical Problems of War in Contemporary Religious Communities', 'New Age Religions and Religious Syncretism' and others. 

As a part of the Congress the "Journal of Religious Studies for 20 years" was presented, as well as the newest scientific researches prepared by the scientists - specialists in religious studies of St. Petersburg State University. 

As part of the Congress, scientific contacts were established with Russian scientists, the possibility of Russian scientists leading our doctoral students was discussed, and the activities and prospects of the Department of Religious Studies were outlined. 

Scientists from Russia were invited to our annual academic conference, which traditionally takes place in April.
