On October 18, 2018, Shakarim State University (Semey) celebrated the 190th anniversary of the great Kazakh philosopher Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly. At the anniversary event the Head of the Philosophy Department of the L. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Academician NAS RK, Professor Garifolla Yessim, who constantly explores and promotes the great legacy of Abay and Shakarim among younger generation, was awarded "Shakarіmnіng Altyn belgіsі" of the Shakarim State University.
