On April 14, 2022, the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Social Sciences at L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University held a scientific seminar.
Alena Nikiticheva, social anthropologist, postgraduate student of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, gave a speech at the seminar with the topic “Muslim communities in the Moscow region: everyday life and identity”.
Meiram Kikimbaev, a 2nd year PhD candidate of the Department of Philosophy, also gave a speech about his dissertation research. The theme of the speech was “Mosque as a case of participatory space in Kazakhstan”.
The seminar was attended by the head of the Department of Philosophy Kulshat Medeuova, Professor of the Department of Religious Studies Yulia Shapoval, Professor of Nazarbayev University Alima Bisenova, Master student of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek Temurbek Ibraimov, as well as teaching staff and PhD students of the Department of Philosophy and the Department of Religious Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
