"Exploring the Cultural Landscape of the Country": Team Building of the Department of Philosophy in the State National Park "Buyratau"

How well do we know the cultural landscapes of our country? How do cultural and historical memory relate? What are "places of memory" today? What narratives do travel agencies offer us? How is the brand of the territory formed? These and other questions became the subject of discussion on Saturday, held by the teachers of the Department of Philosophy in the format of team building in the State National Natural Park "Buyratau". Culturologist, writer Zira Nauryzbaeva was invited on the trip.

Buyratau is the newest national park located on the territory of Akmola and Karaganda regions. Its amazing landscapes and cultural monuments are conducive to philosophical conversations.

First of all, in the park you can see many burial grounds of the Bronze Age, the famous Saka "mustachioed" mounds, ancient and medieval stone statues. Almost the entire valley is a burial place and monuments of the Bronze Age.

Unlike museums, here you can literally touch artifacts, get energized and invent some kind of "philosophical-shamanic" rite, which we did.

One of the sights of the Falcon Mountains is the Aulie-Bulak spring and the highest mountain Zhaushoky not far from it. According to legend, when people and cattle were dying from drought, one old man climbed this mountain and prayed for three days and nights, and so a spring appeared.

Imagination is played out at the sight of three rocks - Mount Ushtas. The people call them three bi (chief), associating them with the names of famous bi (chief). This is also a reason for cultural scientists to think.

And of course, this is a territory with a unique ecosystem. 55 species of mammals, 160 species of birds, 610 species of plants grow here!

And on the way back, we decided to see the famous Pink Lake Kobeituz. At the checkpoint for us, as teachers of ENU, they made an exception and we were lucky to enjoy the amazing beauty of this phenomenon.

This is such a wonderful photo taken by Adiya Ramazanova, which reflects our reverence for the beauty and secret of nature.
