The Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences held the presentation of the first issue of the Kazakh version of the Journal of the International Sociological Association "Global Conflict" for 2018, organized by Ph.D., Associate Professor Bayan Smagambet. The magazine has been published in Kazakh language since 2015. Until now, students and undergraduates who are fluent in English have joined the initiative group engaged in the translation of the jpurnal into the Kazakh language.
The presentation reviewed the articles published in the magazine. Ph.D candidate A.Tlespayeva, undergraduates A.Imankul, M.Zholdiyeva, A.Amangeldiyeva, students K.Tel, T.Toleu took part in the discussion of problems related to the difficulties of translation from English into Kazakh. Responsible for the Kazakh version, Associate Professor Bayan Smagambet told about the role and significance of the journal in the formation of sociological content in the state language, and also shared the experience of translation and preparation of the magazine for publication.
