A meeting of the Public Council of the basic organization of CIS States on environmental education was held in Minsk. The meeting was coordinated by the A. D. Sakharov international state environmental Institute of the Belarusian state University.
At this meeting, scientists from Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan took part. During the meeting, a welcoming speech was made by the chairman of the Public Council of the basic organization of the CIS member states on environmental education, director of the International State Ecological Institute named after A.D. Sakharova, Professor Maskevich S.A.
On the Kazakhstan side, on-line mode at this event was attended by a member of the Council, Professor G.K.Dlimbetova and PhD candidate A. Sandibekova from the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge. In particular, the Kazakh side proposed holding a joint international conference “My Green University - University of the 21st Century” on the basis ENU. This conference is planned as part of the scientific project "Ecologization of the university education system as an innovative way of modernizing the spiritual consciousness of students."
Also, during the meeting, participants discussed new approaches to the content of environmental education, the experience of social partnership, the results of the work of the basic organization of the CIS member states on environmental education for 2019.
The participants of the meeting also expressed great interest in expanding inter-University relations in priority areas within the framework of the Public Council.
