Methodological seminar at the Department of sociology

The Department of sociology held a methodological seminar "Big data in sociology" in an online format on the Microsoft Teams platform.

The seminar was attended by teachers and doctoral students of 1-3 courses of the Department of "Sociology".

The purpose of this seminar is to review current trends and problems related to online education in higher education institutions and the prospects for the development of Big data in sociology.

Nurlan Baigabylov, PhD, head of the Department of Sociology, addressed the participants of the seminar with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he stressed the importance and timeliness of discussing these issues.

The report "Distance learning - as a basis for the formation of educational capital" was made by senior lecturer Isakhova Gulizia. The advent of distance learning has opened up new opportunities for education and professional development. The main advantage of distance learning is the possibility of obtaining education outside of any educational institution.

Gulnaz Shanbayeva, senior lecturer of the Department of Sociology, said in the report "Professional competencies of teachers in online training of future social workers" that distance education is becoming global and accessible, ahead of the processes of political and economic unification.

Quality education can provide students with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to develop innovative thinking that will help them achieve success in their careers. In order to cope with this task, modern methods and technologies are being introduced to traditional teaching methods.
