On April 25, 2023, the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University held the II stage of the XV Republican Subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the specialty «Cultural Studies». 4 teams from universities took part in the Olympiad. The Olympiad was divided into 4 rounds.
The 1st round consisted of 2 parts. In the first part, a video has been prepared related to the name of the team. In the 2nd part, the presentation and greeting of the team took place in an offline format.
Round 2 Theoretical tour (offline testing). The team members were tested with the name of the team. The team was asked questions consisting of 20 questions. In 20 minutes, 20 questions were answered, 7 of them in Kazakh, 7 in Russian, 6 in English.
Round 3 Homework. To complete the task of this tour, homework was offered on the topic «Visualization of the public space of the city» (advertising, art sites, museums, murals/graffiti, monuments).
Round 4 Competition of captains (analytical round). The team captains were offered 7 films for preview. During the Olympiad, the team captains analyzed the film selected by the draw and answered additional questions from the jury.
As a result, the «Golden Man» team of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (leader – Alikbaeva M.) won 1st place, 2nd place «Tanzimat» team of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (leader – Kemerbay R.), 3rd place Toraygyrov University «Shanyrak» team (leader – Aubakirova S.) and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University «Naslediye» (led by Ramanzharova A.) were won by the Chairman of the Board-Rector On behalf of E.B. Sydykov, diplomas were presented, and each participant and leader of the team was presented with the book «Metaphysics of Man» by the well-known scientist, academician Garifolla Yessim.
