Migration issue from the point of view of Nina Maadad and Frank Düvell

Two important meetings were organized by Ali Zafer Sağıroğlu Professor of the Department of Sociology, Director of the Center for Implementation and Research of Immigration Policy, Professor at Beyazit University in Ankara (Turkey). The lectures were devoted to the topic of "migration", the participants were 1st year doctoral students and master students in sociology. The lectures were conducted in English.

The first meeting took place on 23 October at 13:00 on the topic "Educational policies and practices, and classroom realities for children from refugee background (CRBs)." The lecture was delivered by Nina Maadad Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, University of Adelaide, Australia. During the lecture, the situation of refugee children in schools, communication with them and psycho-emotional support were analyzed in detail.

The second meeting was on November 27 at 15:00 on the topic “Irregular Migration: a reflexive and contextual approach”. This topic was presented by Frank Düvell PhD, Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Migration and Intercultural Research (IMIS), Osnabrück, (Germany). During the lecture, the problem of irregular migration was analyzed in detail, as well as questions and discussions were with the audience.
