The formation of ecological culture’s prospects in the conditions of modern realities

On February 5 2021, the Russian Academy of Education (RAO) hosted the anniversary plenum of the Scientific Council on Environmental Education. The plenary session of the Scientific Council dedicated to its 50th anniversary and was held on the topic: "Formation of ecological culture in the conditions of modern realities: problems and prospects".

As the key speakers of the plenum of the Scientific Council were well-known scientists in the field of environmental education - the doctor of pedagogical Sciences, Professor, academician of the Russian Academy of education, Chairman of the Scientific Council A.N. Zahlebnyi, doctor of psychological Sciences, President RAO Y.P. Zinchenko, Vice-Chairman of the Scientific Council E. N. Dzyatkovskaya, doctor of political Sciences, state adviser to the first class, a member of the club of Rome, head of the UNESCO Department, Moscow state University. M. V. Lomonosov Y.N. Sayamov, head of the educational programs of the Fund named after V. I. Vernadsky T. V. Avgusmanova etc.

From ENU at this event was a welcome speech by Professor Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge G.K. Dlimbetova who has observed that taking a course on implementation of green University, our University actively cooperates with foreign organizations that are actively involved in joint EcoForum, summer schools and international conferences. The main issues considered by the members of the RAO Scientific Council were the problems and prospects of scientific support for updating the content of environmental education, the environmental context of education for sustainable development, the importance of environmental education in the context of new social and ethical challenges, innovative technologies in the system of additional environmental education, the formation of environmental culture in the context of digital transformation of society. Special attention is paid to the problems of environmental education in modern conditions, network forms of interaction in environmental education.

Great interest in the issues discussed in the framework of research was manifested by young scientists of the Department of psychology S. U. Abenova, doctoral students and undergraduates of the Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge A. Sandibekova, S. Zhaukina, S. Taibuldinova, D., A.Ibrayeva and other ecovolunteers.  The plenum of the Scientific Council provided an opportunity for young and future scientists to exchange the results of research in the field of continuing environmental and pedagogical education and to outline further prospects for solving current problems in this field.
