One of the tools for the development of public policy in the field of environmental protection is environmental education. On October 30-November 01, 2019, in order to develop strategic decisions on the development of environmental education, the Vernadsky non-Governmental environmental Foundation held the VI all-Russian conference "From environmental education to the ecology of the future".
The all-Russian conference on environmental education is the largest platform demonstrating world trends, scientific achievements, current concepts and effective practices of environmental education at all its levels. he Conference discussed the following topics: the role of environmental education in the implementation of the National project "Ecology"; creation of "school that meets the challenges of the time", the inclusion in the GEF requirements for the development of basic knowledge in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development; implementation of continuous environmental education in accordance with the prospects of socio-economic development; dissemination of innovative experience in environmental education; development of environmental culture;network of environmental media; popularization of environmental volunteering.
The key speakers of the meeting were the Minister of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation D. N. Kobylkin, President of the Vernadsky Foundation V. A. Grachev, statesmen, prominent scientists, organizers of science and education. From ENU Professor of the Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge, Professor G. K. Dlimbetova, Professor of the Department of foreign Philology K. N. Bulatbaeva and PhD student of the Department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge S. U. Abenova presented their report at this event. The topic of the report is "Green audience as a platform for greening students 'education". The article included the main positions of the scientific project "Ecologization of the higher education system as an innovative way to modernize the spiritual consciousness of students". The report revealed the basic concepts that accompany the development of the green University through the creation of ecological and pedagogical institutions. The conference also featured video presentations by leading experts in the field of environmental education in Russia, CIS countries, the Middle East, the United States, etc.
At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded certificates of the President of the Vernadsky Foundation V. A. Grachev.
