It is well known that national sport is a tradition that reveals the strength of each nation, shows its culture and character. Today it is important to form national self-consciousness among young people, glorifying national sports and reviving them.
On April 5, at the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Eurasian National University, a competition was held among students of 1-2 courses in national games. The first-year curators who organized the competition of national games are A. Bidolda, A. Malikei, B. Bazarbayeva, A. Everything is in order. At the competitions, students competed in such national games as tug of war, shooting, togukumalak. Azamat Akhanov, curator of the DSS-1 group, organized weight lifting and arm wrestling classes among sophomores. The winners were presented with sweet gifts and letters of thanks. The students expressed their wish that the game be competitive and interesting, so that there would be more such events in the future.
