The largest in Central Asia international education fair “International education fair 2018” took place on January 20, 21 in Astana with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. More than 100 Kazakhstani and foreign universities from USA, UK, mainland Europe, and Asia, CIS, language schools and education agencies participated in the fair. The official opening featured Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sagadiyev E.K. The signing ceremony of the Memorandum between Kazakhstani and foreign universities and B2B-meetings of foreign and Kazakhstani education agencies were conducted during the fair.
The aim of the event is broad prospects for international cooperation in education to allow further integration into global education system, a promotion of foreign education and an exchange of experience in implementation of international education projects.
Trainings “Double degree programs: experience of top universities”, “Innovative teaching methods”, “International scholarships and grants for 2018” and a round table “Education without borders: a role of foreign teachers and students in universities” were organized for faculties of Kazakhstani universities in January 20-21. Vice-Dean of Social studies faculty Gitikhmayeva L.M., PhD, acting docent of Social pedagogics and Self-cognition department Abdykhalykova Zh.E., PhD, senior lector of Social studies department Isakhanova A.A. participated in the event on January 20. Acting professor of Social pedagogics and Self-cognition department Karibayeva G.M., docent of Social pedagogics and Self-cognition department Bekova Zh.K., acting docent of Social pedagogics and Self-cognition department Temirov K.U. took part in the event on January 21.
