As part of the pedagogical practice undergraduates of the specialty “6M090500-Social Work”, on October 30, 2019, Bekmukhamedov Temirlan, Kurak Beksultan, as As part of the pedagogical practice of second-year undergraduates in the specialty “5B090500-Social Work”, on October 30, 2019, students Bekmukhamedov Temirlan, Kurak Beksultan, social work specialists of the ICMP, together with the clinical psychologist of the Nur-Sultan Medical Center Zhaniev Duman Abaevich held an open lecture for students of philological faculty on the topic: “Mental health of a person: what we know about him. Prevention of depression and stress”. Students of the Faculty of Philology (the main organizer Kapan Aisha, a third year student) took the initiative in conducting an open lecture.
During an open lecture, students together with specialists discussed the following concepts of medical and psychological health, the main criteria for mental health, how to maintain their mental health, factors of modern society that contribute to depression, stress as a reference point for changes in life.
The listeners learned about the ways and methods of primary care for the manifestation of depression, the telephone numbers of the helplines whom we can contact.
Mental health issues are very relevant among young people, and as a result of this event, students decided to meet weekly and bring up issues that are relevant to themselves for discussion.
