October 10-11, in Astana, in the Palace of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the VI Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was held. Teachers Kalemshariv Balzhan, Tomash Gulbarshyn, Alimkulova Saltanat and Aimukhambetov Timur and students of the DT - 41 Temirbai Zhanargul, DT-31 Kuatov Arulan of the Department of Religious Studies took an active part in it. The theme of this direction is «Religious Leaders for a Safe World». Section meetings of the VI Congress were conducted in the following areas:
«Manifesto «Peace. XXI century «as a concept of global security»;
«Religions in a changing geopolitics: new opportunities for the consolidation of humanity»;
«Religion and Globalization: Challenges and Answers»;
«Religious leaders and politicians in overcoming extremism and terrorism. »
In general, the event itself was successful, especially the ideas that were voiced on it. And of course it should be noted that the Leader of the Nation - President N. A. Nazarbayev managed to organize something that no one had before him. This congress was not only raised the image of our country, but also became a real platform for a dialogue of world and traditional religious denominations.
