Environmental volunteers of the Faculty of Social Sciences ENU at the international student platform "Towards a Green University"

On April 3, 2021, as part of the international project of the VIII All-Russian Festival, the international student platform "On the Way to the Green University "was held.

The event was held in the format of a case study, which was attended by students and postgraduates of "University " Dubna", "Peoples' Friendship University of Russia", "Moscow State Regional University", Samarkand State University (Uzbekistan) and other CIS countries.

ENU was presented by a team of environmental volunteers (under the leadership of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge Dlimbetova G.K. and senior lecturer of the Department of Psychology, Doctor PhD S. Abenova).     

A team of volunteers from the Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge department was represented by the deputy. chairman of the eco-club Ukimish D.E. and PhD students Sandibekova A.K., Taibuldinova S.A., Zhaukina S.A. Moldabekova S.K. and undergraduate Arzymbetova D.I. who presented the concept of development of ENU. L.N. Gumilyov - as a "green" university.

To begin with, the team leader - Abenova S. U. noted that the Faculty of Social Sciences is actively working on the criterion of "eco-education", as well as the active participation of eco-volunteers in the implementation of joint social projects with international partners in the framework of sustainable development.

In turn, within the framework of her scientific research, PhD student Sandibekova A.K. presented in a case study format a developed model of pedagogical management of greening education at L.N. Gumilyov ENU. She placed special emphasis on the importance of the implementation of an ecological passport, which absorbs the content of the ecological component in various specialties.

Taibuldinova S. A. noted the permanent participation of students-eco-volunteers of the Gumilyov ENU in international events and active cooperation with the United Nations, the Global Environment Facility, the Non-Governmental Environmental Foundation of V. I. Vernadsky (Moscow, Russia), the Association of Practicing Ecologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Educational and Methodological Laboratory of Environmental Education of the Sakharov State University (Belarus, Minsk) and others.

Our environmental volunteers focused on organizing their project "green" auditorium - as a component of a green university for students and teachers of the university.

As a result, from the side of international experts, the case study “ENU - on the way to the development of a green university” presented by our students was highly appreciated for scientific character, creativity, social direction and were awarded with certificates of honor from the All-Russian V.I. Vernadsky.
