On February 4-5, the first in Kazakhstan School of Sociologists “Kazakhstan Sociology Lab” will be launched, which is implemented by the corporate foundation “Academy of Elbasy”. The project is aimed at training specialists of a wide profile who possess not only basic sociological knowledge, but also have skills in working with modern digital technologies for collecting and analyzing data. At the School, special attention will be paid to teaching methods such as hard skills, quantitative analysis in R, pre- and post-processing of data, qualitative, quasi-experimental research methods, etc.
The developed program is a holistic course, the teachers of which will be not only Kazakhstani, but also foreign experts. As teachers and mentors of the School, PhD doctors of the Department of Sociology of L.N. Gumilyov ENU - Rodionov A.N., Otar E.S., Tazhibaeva G. and others are represented. According to the results of the competitive selection, 54 participants passed to the School, including students and doctoral students of the Department of Sociology of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
Kazakhstan Sociology Lab is a leadership program for building a career as a sociologist, analyst, researcher, expert in education, economics, and social sciences. School graduates will be able to work in expert-analytical and research centers, create their own projects, introduce changes in them, and also offer solutions to social problems.
