The 19th International Scientific Conference " Sakharov Readings 2019: Ecological Problems of the XXI century" was held on the basis of the "International State Ecological Institute named after A.D. Sakharov" of the Belarusian State University.
The conference was held with financial support by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian Republican Foundation on Fundamental Research, Coca-Cola HBC Belarus, Republican Center for State Environmental Expertise and Advanced Training, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, HLD Umwelt GmbH (FRG).
The 19th International Scientific Conference «Sakharov Readings 2019: Environmental Problems of the XXI Century» opened at ISEI BSU on May 23, 2019. Within the course of two days, over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students and scientists from 15 countries of the near and far abroad will discuss research reports and suggest the best ways to solve certain environmental problems.
The international conference is held for the purpose of scientific-theoretical and informational exchange in the field of development of environmental education. Within the course of two days, scientists in the field of ecology and environmental education, teachers and practitioners, promoting the ideas of A.D. Sakharov from different countries (Germany, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan, etc.) shared their innovative projects. From L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the professor of the department of social pedagogy and self-knowledge, the faculty of social sciences, doctor of pedagogical sciences, Dlimbetova G.K. made the report at this conference. The theme of the report is “Greening Education for Sustainable Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The presentation included the main positions of the scientific project “Greening of a High School Education System as Innovative Way of Modernization of Spiritual Consciousness of Students”. The report revealed the basic concepts that accompany the spiritual and environmental components in high school disciplines.
According to the results of the performance and for the active participation of Professor G.K. Dlimbetova was awarded the certificate on behalf of the Director of the International State Ecological Institute named after A.D. Sakharov "Belarusian State University, Professor S.A. Maskevich.
Thus, the 19th International Scientific Conference “Sakharov Readings 2019: Ecological Problems of the XXI century” provided an opportunity for scientists from different countries to get acquainted with best practices in greening education abroad, the values and priorities of modern environmental education, environmental training and professional environmental competencies of the future specialist.
