At the Department of Sociology in the Decade of Science 2023 on the discussion forum «Oytolgau» held a roundtable on «Kazakh miracle» legend and truth (topical issues of modernization of Kazakhstan). During the discussion the question of modernization in Kazakhstan was discussed. In addition, the 1st year undergraduates of the Department of Sociology presented such topics for discussion as: «Basic theories of modernization», «Periods of modernization in Kazakhstan», «Economic sphere of Kazakhstan», «Geography of human capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan», «New cultural trends in Kazakhstan», «Diversification of economy of Kazakhstan», analyzed questions within the themes «Spiritual revival», «Tourism and political modernization». Sociologists of the department actively participated in this discussion forum and shared their opinions. Also, news and proposals for the development and modernization of Kazakhstan were presented. Bayan Zhuzikbaevna, Ramazan Sattarovich, and Nurlan Oralbaevich gave their final thoughts at the discussion forum and summarized the meeting with their ideas and remarks.
